Saxon Birds Belt Pouch

Leather belt pouch of Viking/Rus style, with a rather simple zoomorphic carving in a somewhat Germanic/Saxon/Early Vendel style. This pouch was one of my first experiments using leather carving technique, so I didn't want to try something too complicated.

The outer bag is 3 mm thick cow hide, carved and coloured in different shades of dark brown and some mahagony dye for the birds' eyes.
The inner bag is soft cow hide about 1.5 mm, fastened with a leather string.
The outer bag is fastened with a reindeer antler toggle.
